Change Your Benefits
Whether you’re a new team member, your status has changed, or you just need to change your dependents – you can find out more information about changing your benefits below.
New Team Members
Eligible team members have 30 days from their start date to enroll in benefits using the Lawson portal. Benefits begin the first day of the month following your start date. You can find a link to Lawson and instructions for how to enroll on the HR landing page.
Qualifying Life Events
You can change your coverage during the year if you have a qualifying life event. The changes you may make depend on the type of qualifying event that occurs. If you experience a qualifying life event and wish to make changes to your benefits, you must declare a life event through Lawson within 30 days of the date of the event (60 days for the birth of a child, adoption, or adoption placement).
Examples of qualifying life events includes:
- – Marriage
- – Divorce, or legal separation
- – Birth or addition of an eligible child
- – Loss of other coverage
- – New eligibility for other coverage
- – Qualified medical child support order
- – Status changes
- – Commencement or return from an unpaid leave of absence
- – Change in residence or place of work resulting in change in health insurance availability
- – Death of spouse/partner or eligible child
